Hanna's Ankle

Sunday night, when Hanna was at her Sunday night kids' choir/sunday school class, she and some friends were running around playing, and Hanna twisted her ankle. She was sitting on the floor when I picked her up, and I had to have someone carry her out to the car for me cuz she said it hurt too much to walk. She cried the whole way home, and by the time we got home, it was already about 2xs the size of her other ankle. We iced it, but it was probably already too late. Monday, she cried when we'd even move it, including when we'd carry her from place to place. Finally, I called the doctor, and they said it was at most just sprained, ice it and elevate it, and give ibuprofen for inflamation.

Well, she and Joshua (and mom) were invited to go to the Veggie Tales movie with other homeschoolers, so Hanna conjured enough courage to go and she's glad she did. This morning, it was sore again, but she let me wrap it, and I think that helps with the sensitivity of it. It also gives it a little support, so she might be able to put some weight on it. Although, she is kind of a baby when it comes to pain, so we'll see how long she'll milk it!! :) She wants to go to dance tonight, but only to watch so she doesn't miss out on the new routine that they're learning.

Joshua's tooth is feeling much better, and his other 2 (or 3?) get filled on Friday. Thursday -- Valentine's Day -- Joshua's former teacher at the public school invited us to join their class for the party. She's always been so nice. Joshua misses his friends there, so he's looking forward to it.
