Kids: Setback For One, Giant Leap For Another!

We had another showing yesterday, our 4th. They were concerned about our windows again. They are very old. We didn't want to replace them before we moved, but if it continues to be a deterrent(sp?) for buyers, we may have to.

Joshua was given some bad news on Wednesday. One of his molars that his dentist has been watching the past couple of years decided to decay quickly since his last cleaning in July. He started complaining about it about 2 weeks ago. The earliest we could get him checked was Wednesday. They had to do an emergency filling of that tooth, and then spotted 2 more that they want to fill this next week. The tooth was so bad that they put him on antibiotics to avoid an infection. He was not a happy camper, but the milkshake that he had for lunch helped a little. He was hoping for a silver tooth (he's a kid!), but he didn't even get that since they do white fillings now on kids. What a bummer!

Hanna has had some victories in her social anxiety. Since October, we've made a goal for her to say her memory verse to her Wednesday night teacher. She has missed many "patches" for not wanting to say it. Finally, 3 Wednesdays ago, I sat by her and she got up the courage to say it quietly to her teacher. The past 2 Wednesdays since, she had absolutely no problem. I wasn't even there. Once she knew she could say it, she was just fine. She won't say it in front of the other kids, but at least she talks to her teacher. That was quite a milestone!

Well, I still haven't had the baby. I'm singing on Sunday in church, so my choir director will freak if I go into labor before that. After this Sunday, I'm off for a while, so I suppose I can hold off then. :)

Our house is getting some tile put in, and the taping and mudding will start on Monday.

More to come soon, I'm sure!
