Our Freakishly Busy Saturday

Today was a day! It would've been a day anyway, but yesterday, we got a request to show our house this afternoon, so it REALLY was a day!

Hanna had a dance recital this afternoon at 2:00. She had a rehearsal for it at 10:00 this morning. The special olympics were today from 9 or 10 a.m. until 2 or 3 p.m., and we had a friend in it, so we were planning on attending over lunch and picnicing between the rehearsal and the recital.

Well, after the phone call last night, plans changed. We woke up late, got to rehearsal late, cleaned for about 1 hour (our house was a mess!), spent about 30 minutes getting through Hanna's tangles to style her hair, went to the recital, cleaned for about another hour, and then went fishing!

--->Oh, did I mention the feedings every 2 - 2.5 hours (Asher was eating more often today of all days), and the wind out on the lake was cold and strong, even in the sheltered areas. This was Asher's first time out in the boat. What a poor introduction to fishing!

Speaking of fishing . . . Joshua caught his first fish of the season. Hanna had a walleye on but lost it. Marc helped her get it all the way up to the boat, but it fell off right when we tried to pull it up into the boat.

We had to miss the special olympics. That's too bad! Our friend won first last year.

This sounds like a tame day reading it over, but I was so stressed by the time we went fishing I started getting a migraine. I had Hanna running errands for me and watching Asher for me all day so I could get stuff done. Grandma Carol (Marc's mom) watched the kids for me and fed them lunch. What a big help! Having kids around while trying to get something done is like those dreams where you are trying to run away from something but your legs aren't moving very fast.

We had a showing last Wednesday, and supposedly we heard that he might make an offer on the house. He was going to "revisit the bank" is what we heard.

Here are some photos and videos from today. Enjoy!

Joshua on Friday morning sleeping.
I thought it was so funny, I had to take a picture!
He's wrapped up like a mummy.

Hanna likes to take photos of Asher. Here he is on his first time out in the boat.

Joshua and his northern (that we threw back).

The boat on the waves rocked him to sleep.

"My big sis loves me!"
